Pawpaw Seedlings
Asimina triloba. Bareroot seedlings. The northernmost species of a tropical family. These fruits have a complex flavor all their own, at times reminiscent of banana, mango, coconut, and caramel. Age to bearing 6-7 years. They need to cross-pollinate with another genetically distinct tree, so you will need to plant at least two nearby each other to get fruit.
The seed source for my pawpaws is local wild select fruits from the Lower Susquehanna River region. Fruit characteristics I look for are large size, high flesh to seed ratio, and non-bitter skin.
Bareroot seedlings, 12-16” tall.
